As originally crafted, CCAA All-Canadians were selected on the basis of a formula which awards positions on the team according to its conference’s successes in the previous year’s tournament. The conference which finished first in the previous championships nominates three members to the All-Canadian team, the second, third and fourth place teams nominate two members to the team, while the remaining conferences each nominate one member for a total of 10 team members. In subsequent years, each conference has essentially voted on its two representatives to the All-Canadian team.
