Formerly “B” division, prior to establishment of a tournament in 1956. Typically, the southern champ played a challenge round with a central or northern champ. In a 1974 realignment, the 2A division was created for schools with 100-299 students. The champion is awarded the Jim Whitelaw Trophy.
