In the semi, Concordia stomped McGill 60-45. The Stingers held McGill to 16 points in the first half as they romped. Kristina Steinfort led Concordia with 22 points. Pascale Morin added 13. Cheeka Mitchell paced McGill with 20 points. Sarah Gagne added 13 and 11 boards. Concordia led 30-16 at the half after McGill shot 6-26 from the floor.
In the final, Laval captured its third straight title by dumping Concordia 68-61 as 6-0 sophomore forward Josee Lalonde scored 12 and grabbed 10 boards to delight 800 hometown fans. Laval led 33-27 at the half but the Stingers gave them a run, missing an opportunity to tie the game in the final minutes when senior guard Jennifer O’Neill missed a three-pointer. Laval out-rebounded Concordia 44-34 while improving their record to 26-4. Elodie Gerard added 11 and Marie-Helene Pedneau 10. Guard Marie-Pier Veilleux led Concordia with 15 points and 7 boards. Kristina Steinfort added 10 and Rosie Douglas 8.
