Montreal dropped out leaving 8 teams. McGill and Laval tied at 15-2 for the regular season crow but McGill was awarded top seed in the post playoffs by virtual of a 126-121 scoring margin in their two encounters.
In the quarterfinals, the Loyola Tommies defeated the Bishop’s Gaiters 57-40 as Irena Markauskas scored 17. Nancy Knowlton led the Gaiters with 24.
In the semis, Laval defeated Sherbrooke 38-36.
In the other semi, McGill defeated the Loyola Tommies 52-27 as Sylvia Sweeney scored 19. The Tommies included Louise MacDonald, Elaine Betchinski, Diane Quart.
In the final, McGill dumped Laval 54-47 as Sylvia Sweeney scored 12 and Vicki Row 10. Anne-Marie Fortier led the Rouget et Or with 16. Estelle Fillion added 16.
