At the start of the season, ex-Raven star Hugh Reid is appointed to the helm of the distaff Ravens. Reid played four years for the Ravens and one at St. Francis Xavier. A year earlier, he coached Ottawa’s Lisgar Collegiate to an OFSAA title.

In the quarterfinals, the Ottawa Gee-Gees clipped the Windsor Lancers 85-72 as Coleen Dufresne scored 40 and Kathy Kingsbury 16.
The Western Mustangs dusted the Toronto Varsity Blues 68-36. The Varsity Blues (coached by Sharon Bradley) included Chris Crawford.
It is unclear whether the Laurentian Voyageurs and Guelph Gryphons were required to play quarterfinals.
In the semis, the Ottawa Gee-Gees dispatched the University of Western Ontario Mustangs 49-42 as Coleen Dufresne scored 15 and Glynne Turner 14. Eleanor McKeague paced the Mustangs with 24. Rose Johnston added 10.
In the other semi, the Laurentian Voyageurs defeated the Guelph Gryphons 58-32 as Michele Belanger scored 16, Ann Hurley 10 and Kathy Jennings 20. Marg Uhlig led the Gryphons with 12.
In the bronze medal match, the Western Ontario Mustangs dispatched the Guelph Gryphons 59-34. The Gryphons included Judy Antonio, Jane Greaves, Marg Uhlig.
In the final, the Laurentian Voyageurs stuffed the Ottawa Gee-Gees 57-42 as Sheila Strike scored 20, Anne Hurley 13 and Michelle Belanger 10. Coleen Dufresne paced Ottawa with 15. Vicki Harber added 8 and Glynne Turner 7.
