In the semis, held in Montreal, the Western Mustangs dispatched the Queen’s Golden Gaels 45-28. Mustangs captain Jo Ann Kearns tore a ligament in her knee shortly before the tournament. The Mustangs led 28-12 at the half. Marilyn Parkinson paced the Mustangs with 23. Maretta McCulloch led the Gaels with 7. Gwen Howes added 6 and Joan Atwood 6.
In the other semi, the Toronto Varsity Blues clocked the McGill Martlets 39-11 as Judy Smith scored 10 and Jean Wills 8. Jill Kilgour led the Martlets with 4.
In the bronze medal match, the Queen’s Golden Gaels whipped the McGill Martlets 50-32. Marg Black led the Martlets with 9. Jill Kilgour added 7. The Martlets also included Judy Harrison, Par Stanfield, Nadia Pavlychenko, Maureen Rever, D Turnball, J McMichael, Barbara Gatehouse, Jean-Anne McKellar, Joan Branscomb and Helen Karpowicz.
In the final, the Western Mustangs defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 39-30 as Marilyn Parkinson scored 14 and Lyn Irwin 13. Toronto was led by Judy Smith and Jean Wills, each of whom scored 9.

J Lee added 7 and Veronica Krasavec 2, while C Lee, Elliott, Coughlin, Welsh, Tomko, Barnumo and Wright were scoreless. Anne Hewitt (also reported as Huot) led Macdonald with 12. Atkinson added 10, Ootman 9, Whelan 6 and Milkeman 2, while Lawson, Estley, Janet Smith, Moore, Bos and Janice Smith were scoreless.
In the other semi, the Carleton Ravens defeated the Guelph Gryphons (then OAC) 46-27 as Pam Medcalfe scored 25, Fran Arbuthnot 13, Bev Robinson 7 and Jean Eastop 1, while Barb Bailey, Eve Smith, Helen Millett and Pat Seymour were scoreless. Marilyn Mitchell paced Guelph with 10. Philp added 5, Black 4, Slater 3, Ethel Lyles 2, Beth Taylor 2 and Osborne 1, while West, Franks, Merry and Unsworth were scoreless.
In the bronze medal match, Macdonald College edged the Guelph Gryphons 33-28 as Ann Huot scored 18, Atkinson 5, Whelan 4, Moore 3, Ootman 2 and Milkeman 1, while Lawson, Estley, Janet Smith, Janice Smith and Bos were scoreless. Ethel Lyle and Beth Taylor each scored 7 for the Gryphons.
In the final, McMaster took a 22-13 lead and cruised to a 43-20 victory over Carleton as Veronica Krasevec scored 15, Betty Montgomery 13, Barbara Howes 10, Tomko 3, Barnum 3, J Lee 1 and C Lee 1, while Elliott, Coughlin and Welsh were scoreless. Fran Arbuthnot led Carleton with 8. Jean Eastop added 6, Pam Medcalf 4 and Bev Robinson 2, while Barb Bailey, Eve Smith and Helen Millett were scoreless.
