The format was shifted back to a round-robin draw. The tournament was held at Toronto’s Hart House. The hosts went undefeated at (3-0). Twin sisters Mickey and Dade Barnett coached rivals Toronto and Western, respectively.

In the opener, Western dumped Queen’s 37-20. Western led 37-11 after three quarters and failed to score in the final but easily prevailed. Jean Shillington paced Western with 18. Anna Baker added 10, Mabel Gillen 4, Marilyn Bell 3, Ruth Blezard 2, while Fairley Dadd, Jeanne Thrasher, Betty Rowlen, Mary Shirk, Joan Crich, Beryl Rafuse and Mary Stewart were scoreless. Pat Gardiner paced Queen’s with 14. Joan Keough added 4 and Marion Reid 2, while Joan Stewart, Doris Shoemaker, Betty McRae, Janet Greenlees, Margaret Blasick, Moragh Shepherd and Jean Culver were scoreless. …………………………………………………… Toronto edged McGill 21-19. Toronto had trailed for most of the affair until Shirley Speck hit a free throw to knot it at 15. They inched ahead twice but McGill’s Molly Camp repeatedly responded. With 20 seconds to play, Toronto captain Ann Bradshaw hit the winning bucket. Shirley Speck paced Toronto with 7. Betty Fitzgerald added 6, Gwen Smith 5, Ann Bradshaw 2 and Eleanor Lever 1. Louise MacFarlane paced McGill with 9.
