Western formally enters the league and the format is changed to a single elimination tourney. Teams took turns hosting the tournament every four years.

        In the semis, held in Toronto, McGill edged Queen’s 34-33. McGill led by five to start the second half but Queen’s rallied into the lead and then the teams traded buckets until the final minute when McGill pulled out the win on a bucket by Betty Craik. Dot Carter and Nancy McMartin led McGill with 13 apiece. Evelyn Best led Queen’s with 9.

In the other semi, Western dumped defending champ Toronto 28-17. Western led 14-13 at the half but Toronto faltered in the second half as they began being plagued by turnovers. Western ripped off a 15-3 run and coasted to the win. J. Walker led Western with 10. Edith Blackwell led Toronto with 10. The Blues also played Edith Buchanan; Dorothy Kerr; Emma Weir; Mildred Wilkins; Grace Keffer; Betty Macdonald; Alice Muckle; Frances Service; Constance Smith. Marion Forward missed the game for Toronto because of injury.

In the bronze medal match, Queen’s nipped Toronto 36-35 in overtime. Queen’s led 21-16 at the half. The score was knotted at 31 after regulation. Violet Anglin led Queen’s with 25. Evelyn Best added 9 and Jean Dunlop 2. Edith Buchanan led Toronto with 22. Edith Blackwell added 7, Dorothy Kerr 0, Emma Weir 6, Betty MacDonald 0, Grace Keffer 0, Mildred Wilkins 0, Frances Service 0, Constance Smith 0 and Alice Muckle 0. The U of T’s Varsity reported that “due to pressure brought to bear by McGill and Queen’s, it was necessary to have a woman coach, the team was particularly fortunate in having Miss Phyllis Griffiths, captain.”

        In the final, the Western Mustangs defeated McGill 39-16. Western led 12-8 at the half and quickly put the game out of reach in the second half on the playmaker of M. Turner. M. Fletcher led Western with 20. A. Hallett added 12 and J. Walker 7. B. Carter led McGill with 10. M. McMartin added 5.
