Toronto captured the crown with a (9-1) record. The Varsity Blues were led by Don Lipke, a freshman from Syracuse, N.Y. He was the top scorer for the Blues on the season. The Blues also featured Harold Rotman, Al Vaichulis and Ruby Richman. For Assumption, high scoring Dick Mackenzie quit midway through the season to concentrate on academic studies. Queen’s played 6-7 Jay McMahan, former captain of the Penn State team, only in home games. It was Toronto’s first title since 1941.

The league was divided into two sections in a bid to reduce the cost of road trips. In the Western division were Carleton, Ottawa, R.M.C. Loyola and Sir George Williams. In the Eastern division were Laval, Bishop’s, College Militaire Royale, Macdonald and the University of Montreal.
In the playoff for the East division title, Montreal clipped Macdonald College 56-51.
