The loss was McGill’s first league loss in three years. The score was knotted at 17 at the half. SIBL – B LEAGUE

Prior to the season, an SIBL “B” league was formed by McMaster, O.A.C. and RMC-Kingston. They played a separate group and then challenged McGill for supremacy. They toiled in a B league for years before the Big Four finally relented and allowed them to into the OUA.

       In the challenge match, the McGill Redmen pounded McMaster 44-32 as Lewin scored 13, Rice 8, Young 7, Smaill 6, Calhoun 6 and Hammond 4, while Ross was scoreless. Stroud led McMaster with 11. Dilworth added 8, Moore 6, Laughren 6 and Lennie 1, while Fitton and Hamilton was scoreless.

       A four-team league which included Toronto, McMaster, Western and O.A.C.
