        In the semis, Brandon defeated Manitoba 90-79; 81-66 (2g-0). …………………………………………………… Brandon had won all five meetings between the two. In game one, Brandon defeated Manitoba 90-79 in overtime. The Bobcats opened with a three by Roger Martin and sought to control tempo. They held the Bisons to 27 points in first half and only committed six turnovers to Manitoba’s 12. The Bobcats took a 39-27 lead at break. Manitoba rallied to within three, 72-69 with a minute to play and then Clive Rugara tied it with five seconds to go by drilling a three. In overtime, all-Canadians Richard Lovelace and Shawn Gray took over. Brandon outscored Manitoba 18-7 in overtime. The Bobcats started Richard Lovelace, Shawn Gray, Martin, Greg Walker and Demetrius Floyd (from Kansas City). The sixth man was Maurice Carter from Illinois and the seventh Donald Phillips, a North Dakota transfer from Minnesota. …………………………………………………… In game two, Greg Walker set the tone by hitting two free throws and Bobcats overwhelmed the Herd 81-66. Brandon led 39-30 at half. Role players stepped up in second half. Defensive stopper Larry Dudevoir ripped off key buckets. Richard Lovelace hit 5-9 from arc and 3-6 from floor as he scored 23 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Shawn Gray scored 29, including 12-15 from floor and 4 boards. Elliott Unger scored 36 points and 14 boards for Manitoba.

        In the other semi, Regina defeated Winnipeg 94-91; 88-82 (2g-0). …………………………………………………… In game one, Regina prevailed 91-91 as Kevin Gilroy scored 25 points and 10 boards. Chris Warnecke added 21 and 4 boards. Kevin Chief led Winnipeg with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Steve Newton 18 points and 7 rebounds. …………………………………………………… In game two, Regina defeated Winnipeg 88-82 as Kevin Gilroy scored 40 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. A.J. Scheppers added 15 points and 3 rebounds. Jason Harrison led Winnipeg with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Matej Maroti pitched in 16 points and 3 rebounds.

        In the finals, Brandon d’d Regina 88-80; 87-81 (2g-0).

        In game one, Brandon defeated Regina 88-80. Regina took a 14-oint lead in first half but got in trouble when GPAC rookie of year Kevin Gilroy picked up third foul, as did starters Chris Warnecke, Dale Holmes and Drew Hunter. The Bobcats rallied to within four at half time. Regina maintained four-point lead into second half when Greg Walker, Demetrius Floyd and Richard Lovelace went on a dunk and three-point barrage. They hit four threes and two monster back-to-back dunks as Brandon took a three-point lead. The Bobcats stretched it to five when Aaron Bell took a technical with two minutes to play and then iced the win at the free throw line.

        In game two, Brandon defeated Regina 87-81. The game started two hours late due to Greg Walker shattering backboard in the warmups. Regina led by two at half. Both Shawn Gray and Kevin Gilroy played second half with four fouls. The Bobcats took command when Cougar point guard Drew Hunter fouled out with six minutes to play. With 35 seconds on clock and Brandon up by three, Roger Martin drilled a three with no time on the shot clock and two Cougars hanging on him. Regina responded with a layup and foul but Brandon hit their free throws to ice the win.
