Alberta defeated Saskatchewan 39-37 in overtime as Sylvia Shaw notched the winner in the final seconds of play.
Alberta stomped Manitoba 56-23 as McCleary scored 13 and Jean Harvie 13. Eleanor Hawn led the Bisonettes with 11. Jocelyn MacDonald added 4.
Saskatchewan whipped Manitoba 56-25 after leading 20-12 at the half. In its two games, the Huskies were led by Carol Lambert (a combined 24), Sandra Therrien (21), Liz Carnegie (13), Eleanor East (13), Judy Graham (8), Kay Tripp (6), Sandra Wright (4), Pat McCarthy (2), Ruth Ashley (1) and Joyce Andres (1).
