Saskatchewan defeated Alberta 55-40 and 48-37 in Edmonton to take the title.
Manitoba did not participate. The Bisons (coached by Don Macdougall) included Joyce Robertson, Joan Abercrombie, Ruth Thorvaldson, Janette Avery, Margaret Dolhun, Barbara Curlette and Nora Thorvaldson.
In game one, Saskatchewan prevailed 55-40. The Huskies led 12-10, 29-21 and 45-28 at the quarters. Pat Lawson paced Saskatchewan with 16. Jean Young added 15, Raycroft 8, Clark 4, Sylvia Fedoruk 3, Roberts 3, McNevin 2 and McKay 2. Joan MacFarlane paced Alberta with 18. Neta Mercer added 7, Elinor Cook 5, Margaret Visser 4, Muriel Clapp 4 and Fran Farley 2.
In game two, Saskatchewan prevailed 48-37. The Huskies led 7-6 after one quarter and 22-19 at the half. Pat Lawson paced Saskatchewan with 18. Sylvia Fedoruk added 11, Raycroft 6, Jean Young 5, Roberts 4, McKay 2 and Clark 2. Elinor Cook paced Alberta with 14. Neta Mercer added 8, Muriel Clapp 4, Margaret Visser 3, Mary Millar 3, Fran Farley 2, Joan McFarlane 2 and R Gould 1.
