Alberta wins its 13th straight Race trophy despite dropping their opening game of the intercollegiate series to Saskatchewan. But they whipped the Huskies in the second game and captured the title on a points differential of plus-16.

In game one, Saskatchewan prevailed 26-23 as post Corrine Trerice scored 13, Bernice Beardall 8, Irene MacInnnes 3, Catherine Bergin 1 and Jean Brown 1, while Margaret Richardson, Averil Diggle, Phyllis Weir and Marion Dundas were scoreless. Mary Frost led Alberta with 8. Amy Cogswell added 5, Margaret Hughes 3, Freda McKinnon 3, Katherine Rose 2 and Betty Burke 2, while Margaret Findlay, Jean Robertson, Irene Connolly and Ada Crowder were scoreless.
In game two, Alberta prevailed 33-14 by holding Saskatchewan to a single field goal in the second half. Mary Frost paced Alberta with 11. Rose added 6, Jean Cogswell 6, Betty Burke 4, Freda McKinnon 4 and Margaret Hughes 2, while Margaret Findley, Jean Robertson, Irene Connolly and Ada Crowder were scoreless.
