Saskatchewan fielded a team but does not appear to have played for the Race Trophy. The Huskies included Bernice Bulmer, Evelyn Cox, Frances Green, Mary Kennedy, Eleanor Rogers, Winnie Rowles, Lorna Rutherford, Eva Scott, Jean Stavely, Winona Wood, Mildred Wright, Ena Rogers and Alice Russell.
Alberta defeated Manitoba 28-13 in Edmonton in the only game played to win the Race Trophy. Manitoba appeared to dominate early as their speed proved difficult for Alberta to handle. The Bisons led 9-0 before Gladys Fry hit a bucket in the paint for Alberta. Mary Alexander added a bucket and Frances Alexander a free throw as Alberta closed to within 9-5 after one quarter. Manitoba tired in the second half, while Gladys Fry heated up and Alberta prevailed. Fry and Erma Nichols each scored 8 to pace Alberta. Frances Alexander added 7, Marjorie Race 3 and Mary Alexander 2, while Inez Calhoun, Vera Palmer and Mary Lundy were scoreless. Helen Hamilton and Eleanor Harvey each scored 4 to pace Manitoba. Mary Bridgeman added 2, Kathleen Vanstone 2 and Olive Crook 1, while Helen Russel, Vida Cruikshanks, Lois Gordon, Beth Ostrey and Louise Keith were scoreless.
