In the playoffs (a best-of-three final, no semis), Victoria defeated Calgary 82-63; 80-76 (2g-0).

        In game one, Victoria coasted to an easy 82-63 victory. Dinosaurs coach Gary Howard told the Gauntlet that “if there ever was a chance to beat them it was tonight, they were terrible, too bad we were worse. … collectively awful.” The Dinos shot .360 from the floor and were outrebounded 53-27. The Vikes shot .440 from the field. Billy Loos led the Vikes with 21. Rene Dolcetti added 14, Gerald Kazanowski 12, Eli Pasquale 12, Ted Anderson 9, Criag Higgins 6, Kelly Dukeshire 4, Chris Hebb 2 and Tom Narbeshuber 2. Romel Raffin led the Red Reptiles with 18. Karl Tilleman added 16, Eric Duerkson 7, Geoff Thompson 6, Paul Babcock 4, Mark Jorgenson 4, Scott Stevenson 3, Jeff Markert 2, George Hardisty 2 and Fred Koepke 1.

        In game two, Victoria defeated Calgary 80-76 as Billy Turney-Loos scored 15, Kelly Dukeshire 11, Gerald Kazanowski 11, Reni Dolcetti 10, along with 8 boards, Ted Anderson 9, Eli Pasquale 8, Craig Higgins 7, Tom Narbeshuber 5 and Chris Hebb 4. Karl Tilleman paced the Dinosaurs with 18. Romel Raffin added 17, Scott Stevenson 10, Jeff Markert 8, Mark Jorgenson 7, Geoff Thompson 6, Fred Koepke 4, George Hardisty 4 and Paul Babcock 4. Dolcetti told the Calgary Herald “we came out and played really well. We were prepared mentally and physically and, of course, Calgary didn’t play well in the first half. But they came back surprisingly well. The thing they did was control their offence and settle down. Romel showed his national team style out there.” Dinosaurs coach Gary Howard said “I’ll tell you what, we didn’t play all that bad in the first half. We shot 42% but Victoria was awesome. Our guys brought their hearts though. It was a super comeback. They played with a lot of poise and I’m proud of them.” The Vikes led 52-30 at the half but Calgary rallied to within three down the stretch.
