In the semis, New Brunswick trounced St. Mary’s 86-48. Annalie Vandenberg was chosen player of the game for the Huskies.

In the other semi, the St. FX X-Ettes edged Dalhousie 64-59 in overtime. The Tigers led 32-28 at the half. It marked the first time the X-Ettes had defeated the Tigers in six years. Marcelyn Mcginn led St. FX with 18. Linda Barcauskas added 14, Adele Beliveau 14, along with 4 steals and 7 boards, and Pat Campbell 10.

In the final, New Brunswick defeated St. FX 75-56 as Jennifer George scored 27, Jill Jeffrey 11 and Sue McMaster 11. Linda Barcauskas paced St. FX with 13. Adele Believeau added 12. Red Bloomer guard Jennifer George told The Brunswickan that “they were probably tired. It was a really good ball game they played against Dalhousie (in the semis). But we were really psyched up compared to the regular season and we knew if we could play well, boxing them out and rebounding, then we would do okay.”
