In the semis, the top-seeded St. Mary’s Belles defeated the 4th-seeded New Brunswick Red Bloomers 52-40 as Cindy Britton scored 14, Debbie Lawrence 13, Donna Hobin 12, along with 13 boards, and Carol Turney 10 boards. Linda Mooney led the Red Bloomers with 10. Nelda Robbins added 6, Joyce Pederson 6, Laura Sanders 6, along with 10 boards, and Moira Pryde 6.
In the other semi, the Dalhousie Tigers upset the Acadia Axettes 53-51.
In the bronze medal match, the New Brunswick Red Bloomers clipped the Acadia Axettes 57-48 as Sylvia Blumenfeld scored 20 and Moira Pryde 12. Martha Mayer led the Axettes with 15. Joyce Stewart added 14. The Axettes also included Heather Amys, Betty Campbell, Polly Constandis, Pat Johnson, Patti Langille, Wendy Langille, Pam Pauley, Betty Jean White and Shelly White.
In the final, Carol Turney scored 31 and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the St. Mary’s Belles to a 62-48 victory over Dalhousie. National team teammate Donna Hobin added 10 and 10 boards. Cindy Britten tossed in 10. Colleen Thompson added 4, Debbie Steele 4, Lawrence 2 and Elizabeth Hampden 1. Dalhousie was paced by Andrea Rushton 11. Carol Rosenthal added 10, Heather Shute 2, Anne Lindsay 2, Kathy Donovan 10, Anne Murray 2, Sue Cosh 4, West 3.
