Acadia withdrew from the league. UPEI joins. After Dalhousie, New Brunswick and St. FX finished tied atop the regular season standings with (4-4) records, the postseason playoffs were a three-team round-robin, with Dalhousie finishing (2-0), New Brunswick (1-1) and St. Francis Xavier (0-2).

The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the St. FX X-Women 57-52.
The Dalhousie Tigers edged the New Brunswick Red Bloomers 58-55 after leading 25-22 at the half. The Tigerettes built their lead to 10 in the second half before the Red Bloomers rallied to a 54-53 lead. Dalhousie won it at the line down the stretch. Heleka Huddofsky paced the Tigerettes with 14. Heather Shute added 14, Judy Rice 11, Joan Selig 10, Wendy Moore 4, Louise MacDonald 3 and Cathy Leblanc 2, while Rose Johnson, Cathy Bulpin and Judi Smith were scoreless. The Tigerettes hit .270 from the floor and 10-12 from the line, while nabbing 44 boards. Helen Jensen led the Red Bloomers with 19. Dawne Wishart added 14, Janet Goggin 10, Anne Fenety 5, Lynn Kirk 3 and Pat Bastarche 2, while Linda Bicknell, Bev Ogilvie, Leslie Miziner and Debra Holts were scorless. The Red Bloomers hit .290 from the floor and 9-16 from the line, while nabbing 48 boards.
New Brunswick captured second by edged the St. Francis Xavier X-Women 60-56 as Helen Jensen scored 18, Dawne Wishart 11, Ann Fenety 11, Janet Goggin 6, Lynn kirk 5, Pat Bastarche 3, Linda Bicknell 2 and Bev Ogilvie 2, while Leslie Miziner and Debra Holts were scoreless. The Red Bloomers hit 18-31 from the line and nabbed 61 boards. Kathy Fleiger led the X-Women with 25. Anne MacKinnon added 11, Nancy MacIntosh 9, Diane Boulanger 6, Mary Cameron 2, Carol White 2 and Dorothy Taylor 1, while Debbie MacInnis and Paula Scholten were scoreless. The X-Women hit 10-15 from the line and nabbed 45 boards.
