       In the postseason playoff game, Saint Mary’s defeated Dalhousie 61-59 as Bill Thomas took an outlet from Al Brown and drilled a 15-foot jumper with 8 seconds to play. The Tigers set up a play with five seconds on the clock but Irv Cohen missed a 25-foot jumper and Huskie Al Brown nabbed the rebound. Irv Cohen had knotted the score at 59 with a bucket for the Tigers with 26 seconds to play. Bill Thomas paced the Huskies with 21. Mike Chambers added 14, Dennis Reardon 9, Phil Carney 8, Al Brown 8 and Dave MacPherson 1. The Huskies hit 24-47 from the floor. Irv Cohen led the Tigers with 21.
