UNB/PEI became a four-team league as St. Dunstan’s (UPEI) and St. Thomas joined the loop. New Brunswick captured the crown, followed by St. Dunstan’s, Mount Allison and St. Thomas. U.N.B. won the title by defeating Mount Allison 68-49 in the final league game of the season. The Varsity Reds and St. Dunstan’s each finished (4-2) on the season but U.N.B. defeated the Saints by nine in Fredericton and the Saints won by eight in Charlottetown.

New Brunswick and UPEI both finished (4-2) atop the standings but the Varsity Reds advanced to the Atlantic finals by virtue of a 105-104 advantage in points in games between the pair.

In the Maritime final, St. Francis Xavier defeated New Brunswick 65-42; 50-49 (Total: 115-91)
In game one, St. FX prevailed 65-42 after leading 16-6, 35-20 and 43-27 at the quarters. Conley led the X-Men with 17. McNally added 15, Campbell 15, F MacNeil 9, R MacNeil 4, Andrews 3 and Flaherty 2. Brannen paced the Varsity Reds with 13. Little added 8, Nakash 8, Patterson 6, Miller 5 and Stairs 2.
In game two, St. FX prevailed 50-49. The Varsity Reds led 25-23 at the half. The X-Men led 36-34 after three quarters. Conley paced St. FX with 15. Flaherty added 14, R MacNeil 8, Campbell 7, McNally 4 and Andrews 2. Nakash led the Varsity Reds with 18. Paterson added 9, Miller 8, Stairs 6, Little 6 and Glass 2.
