McCoy added 7, Eastman 5, Ketchum 4 and Tucker 1. ………………………………………………… In game two, Mount Allison ended the seven-year provincial intercollegiate reign of UNB by pounding the Varsity Reds 86-38 at home. At the time, Mount Allison led the 22-year rivalry 13-9 since formal playoffs began in 1926. Eastman led Mount Allison with 31, hitting .900 from the perimeter. Cameron added 20, Ketcham 15, McCoy 14 and Robinson, who quarterbacked the team to perfection, 6, while Tucker and Russell were scoreless. Jardine led the Varsity Reds with 14.        In game one, with both teams seeking their first title in decades, host St. FX prevailed 43-26 as Whalen and Propper each scored 18, F Miflin 4, D Sullivan 2 and Kyte 1. Cameron led Mount Allison with 11. Eastman added 6, McCoy 4, Tucker 2, Robinson 2 and Ketchum 1.

In game two, Mount Allison won 62-60 at home but St. FX won the series by a 103-88 count. Eastman paced the Mounties with 18. McCoy added 13, Robinson 12, Cameron 8, Tucker 6, Ketchum 3 and Anderson 2. Propper led the X-Men with 21. Whalen added 13, Kyte 10, Mifflin 6 and Mclean 1.

 The X-Men, coached by Father W.P. Fogarty, were primarily an American contingent.
