       In the sudden-death Nova Scotia/New Brunswick final, Acadia defeated the New Brunswick Varsity Reds 37-36. Varsity Reds centre Bob Davis missed a free throw with 26 seconds to play that would have knotted the score. Holgate had put the Axemen ahead by four with two minutes to play. Donaldson and Likely answered for the Reds but they couldn’t overcome the margin. Holgate paced Acadia with 16. Bernie Ralston added 9, MacLeod 9. Sid Thomas led the Varsity Reds with 12. Donaldson added 10. New Brunswick led 20-17 at the half.
