Laurentian’s Carol Hamilton is named recipient of the Nan Copp. Hamilton, a native of Sudbury where she led the North Stars to a pair of provincial high school titles, averaged 22 ppg and helped Vees to an 11-1 record in league play and a first-place tie with Toronto. Hamilton led the Voyageurs in almost every statistical category. A second-year student in the school of translators and interpreters, Hamilton started her university career at Ohio State before transferring back to Laurentian.

        Lethbridge’s Louise Zerbe was named recipient of the Ennis award as national coach of the year.

        Joining Hamilton as 1st team All-Canadians were: Jane Adolpe (Calgary); Helene Cowan (McGill); Lori Clarke (Victoria) and Angela Orton (Toronto). …………………………………………………… Adolphe led Canada West in Scoring, averaging 20 ppg. …………………………………………………… Clarke, a 6-1 forward, averaged 18 ppg. …………………………………………………… Orton was a first-team selection for the second consecutive campaign.
