        Bob Lahey of St. Mary’s was selected the nation’s outstanding player by the CIAU. He’d captured the AUAA scoring title, hitting 54 in one game against U.P.E.I. and 60 in another against Dalhousie. He had the highest scoring average in the country, hitting 381 points in 12 games. He was a first-team AUAA all-star.

The Dakota Collegiate grad led Canada West in scoring with a 19.9 ppg. He was chosen the Bisons’ MVP and subsequently played for the Canadian men’s national team in the summer of 1970.
