Following the series, CABA president George Machum declared it void, saying that the Toronto Lakesides were ineligible because they failed to meet the challenge offered by Maritime champ Dalhousie University for the Eastern Canadian title. The Lakesides were ordered to play off against Dalhousie for the right to travel West and failed to do so, Machum said. Nova Scotia president W.E. Stirling said that they’d asked for a home-and-home series but Toronto hadn’t replied and merely proceeded to the national finals. Eastern Canada Basketball Association A.W. Seaman ordered a home-and-home series. Nova Scotia wanted to directly challenge Edmonton for the national title. CABA then ordered the Grads to play U.B.C. in the Western semis and Dalhousie in the national final, in early June.

In game two, the Grads annihilated Dalhousie 83-12 as Margaret MacBurney scored 27, Mildred MacCormack 17, Gladys Fry 17, Kate MacRae 15, Elsie Bennie 5 and Mae Brown 2, while Joan Johnston was scoreless. The Grads subsequently forayed to Europe, where they swept the competition and won their second world title by defeating a French all-star team 46-14.
