        In game one, the Grads dumped the Lakesides 34-24. The Lakesides scored two buckets before the Grads ripped off eight unanswered points to lead 8-4 after a quarter. But Toronto rallied to within 14-13 at the half with aggressive defensive play. The Grads speed began to take its toil in the second half as they built a double-digit lead and coasted to the final buzzer. Margaret MacBurney and Dorothy Johnson each scored 12 to lead Edmonton. Daisy Johnson added 4, Kate MacRae 3, Elsie Bennie 3 and Hattie Hopkins 0. Nora Gordon led Toronto with 10. Dolly Dunlop added 5, Innes Bramley 0, Mabel Dunlop 1, Bea Harron 2 and Mina Swan 5.
