        In the other semi, the Vancouver Capilanos nipped the Winnipeg St. Andrews Super Saints 55-54 as Billy Joe Price hit a field goal with seven seconds to go after Vancouver had worked the ball around for a minute and a half prior to the shot. Winnipeg had led 38-29 at the half but went scoreless for a 10-minute stretch in the second half. Vancouver was led by pickup Alex Devlin’s 15 and Terry McKay’s 12. The Super Saints were paced by 14 points each from Ted Stoesz, Ross Wedlake and Dave Mills.

        In the battle for third, the Winnipeg St. Andrews Super Saints nipped the London Celtics 78-70 as Bob Town scored 22, Ross Wedlake 18, Ted Stoesz 16 and Dave Mills 14. Raoul Kreek led the Celtics with 20.

        In the final, the Vancouver Capilanos defeated the Halifax Wandlyns 75-67 as Alex Devlin scored 29 and Terry Mackay with 15. The Wandlyns were led by Steve Pound’s 13 points. John Cassidy added 10 before fouling out. Vancouver coach Ken Atkinson double-teamed Pound with Alex Devlin and Bill Ruby. Atkinson later told Canadian Press that Pound “is excellent when he comes off the screen. Against London, nobody was picking him up when he ran off those picks.” Vancouver led 37-35 at the half.
