        In the Alberta finals, Lethbridge High defeated the Edmonton Gradettes by default. Edmonton Grads coach Percy Page said he’d had to move several of the Intermediates up the senior team late in the season as a result of players dropping out, which left the Gradettes in a non-competitive state.

        In the sudden-death BC semis, the Vancouver Turner Institute Pollyannas stunned the Victoria Axioms (who’d gone undefeated during the regular season) 12-5 as K Lyons scored 10, L Gard 4 and J Berruti 2, while O McIntyre and N Berruti were scoreless.
