Alberta rallied to knot the score at 26 at the half, extended their margin to 43-39 after three quarters and opened the final frame with a 7-2 run to take command.         In the final, Ontario clocked British Columbia-Blue 87-60. Ontario coach Brad Rootes said “our goal for today overall was basically what we’ve done all tournament. We did a great job today especially with our rotations.” Ontario controlled the offensive boards as they broke to a 22-12 lead after one quarter and extended their lead to 49-24 at the half on the perimeter shooting of Duane Notice. Ontario broke to a 9-0 run to open the second half and extended their lead to 77-39 after three quarters. Selected players of the game were Ontario’s Duane Notice and BC-Blue’s Nick Irvine. Rootes said depth, and the province’s population base, proved the difference. “I think part of it may just be the numbers. Our top-quality players have a lot of other top-quality players to play against.” Duane Notice paced Ontario with 26 on 9-19 from the floor, 3-7 from the arc, 5-5 from the line and 3 boards.
