        In the semis, Jania Mynott scored 28 as BC Blue defeated Alberta 72-58. Jody Bell led Alberta with 16. B.C. Blue dominated the paint and forced Alberta to the perimeter, where they shot poorly. “When we needed to score, we didn’t,” said Alberta coach Richard Williams. “Towards the end, free throws gave them a 14-point cushion and we couldn’t come back.”

        In the other semi, K. Jilesen scored 11 as Ontario defeated Manitoba 62-50. Valerie Carson led Manitoba with 14.

        In the 7th-place playoff, Newfoundland took 7th place by defeating New Brunswick 74-68 as Karen Hartery scored 21. Newfoundland & Labrador (coach George Power, coach Tony Reardon) also included Tara Croft, Catherine Green, Jacinta Kennedy, Pam Flynn, Melissa Malloy, Danielle Williams, Nikki Rogers, Raelene Walsh, Erin Woodrow, Sheena Fleming and Karen Power.         In the 5th-place playoff, D. Ash scored 16 to lead Saskatchewan over BC Red 58-49. Morgan Stoner led BC Red with 9.

        In the bronze medal match, Manitoba edged Alberta 68-66 as Valerie Carson scored 15. Ashley Dutchak led Alberta with 17. Alberta also included Lindy Lauder.

        In the final, BC Blue dumped Ontario 57-49 as Ashley Burke scored 16. Kate Poulin led Ontario with 17.
