Manitoba coach Dale Bradshaw told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix that “they have one of the best big groups I’ve ever see. We platooned and we were tired at the end.” Saskatchewan coach Tom Thompson said that “it was a defensive battle, one of the finest games you’ll ever see. … You had to work for every shot. … In this game, unlike the previous three, we did not get the crucial basket at the critical time. They took a lot of tired man shots toward the end.” Manitoba hit 30-63 from the floor and 9-11 from the line. Saskatchewan hit 28-63 from the floor and 11-13 from the line.
