In Eastern championship tournament round robin play, held in St. Stephen, host St. Stephen swept through the draw. The tournament MVP was Brock Savage of Centreville, NB. Snowden Y coach Ed Steinman told the Montreal Gazette that his troops should not have been required to play a St. Stephen’s aggregation of all-stars from across New Brunswick. “It’s unfair that we or Halifax must play almost an entire province.”
