        In the semis, Manitoba thumped British Columbia 56-48.

        In the other semi, Quebec defeated Ontario 66-58 in overtime.

        In the bronze medal match, British Columbia nipped Ontario 57-56 as Tracy MacLeod scored 11. Ontario (coached by Bob Delaney, assisted by Bill Pangos and Angela Orton) included Nikki Johnson, Elizabeth hart, Adel Bygraves, Justine Allison, Laurel Johnson, Joy McNichol, Michelle Vesprini, Angela Nobes, Jennifer Gallant, Carla Vesprini, Laurie Pinkney and Donna Foreman.

        In the final, Manitoba clipped Quebec 57-49. Manitoba guard Teri-Lee Johannesson pilfered the ball repeatedly in the first half. “They were passing basically into my hands,” said Johannesson. We started slow, but we were very nervous. I learned not to let the pressure of being at home get to you.” Vicky Neufeld notched 14 for Manitoba. Quebec coach Mike Hickey said “we just didn’t get good shots. To Manitoba’s credit, they played very, very aggressively.”
