In game one, Toronto Alec Pomer was all but unstoppable as Humberside prevailed, scoring 20 points and dominating the boards. Linc Barnett gave Humberside a 2-0 lead. Jim Fraser tied it for Glebe. Pomer added a bucket but Tom Daley answered for Glebe. Pomer notched a free throw before Mal Cunningham gave Ottawa a 6-5 lead.
