In game one, Pickering exploded in the second half to whip Sherbrooke. Pickering had led 12-11 at the half and A. Horsfall hit four buckets as Sherbrooke regained the lead in the second half. But after R. Dunsmore fouled out, Sherbrooke became disorganized and Pickering rallied to knot the score at 20. Pickering hit 7-15 from the line, while Sherbrooke was 3-7.
