In the quarterfinals, Canada clubbed Mexico 71-44 to qualify for the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey. Deniya Prawl drained a trey, pilfered the ball for a layup, and pilfered it again for a Cearah Parchment runout as Canada opened the second quarter with a 7-0 run. They extended the margin to 39-18 at the half despite sporadic forays into lethargy mode. Although often outhustled by Mexico and prone to altogether dispirited play, Canada built its lead to 60-32 after three quarters largely on the efforts of Prawl, who repeatedly ignited the stagnant offence by stepping into passing lanes for runouts. Cearah Parchment paced Canada with 16 on 5-8 from the floor, 2-9 from the arc, 10 boards and 4 steals. Deniya Prawl added 11 on 4-9 from the floor, 1-3 from the arc, 5 boards, 3 assists and 9 steals.         In the semi-finals, Canada dispatched Puerto Rico 77-49. Canada broke to a 9-0 lead as Deniya Prawl and Cearah Parchment notched runners, Eirny Erinugha a bucket in the blocks and Prawl a trey. But when Prawl was substituted, Canada began coughing up the ball against Puerto Rico’s quickness and soon trailed 17-15. Prawl promptly returned to calm the team’s jitters and Canada took a 19-17 lead after a quarter. Puerto Rico kept draining treys (7-13 from the arc in the first half), while Canada kept indulging in casual or soft passes as they fell behind by five in the second quarter before late buckets from Parchment, Savannah Swords, Erinugha and Jayda Queeley gave Canada a 46-41 lead heading into the lockers.
