        In its opener, Canada stomped Venezuela 89-38 after leading 23-5, 51-14 and 67-25 at the quarters. “At the beginning of every new cycle it’s exciting to see young females represent their country for the first time and to get meaningful contributions from so many different players,” said coach Jodi Gram. Aalijah Edwards said “it was great to start off the tournament with a win. We played together and connected well as a team. We need to continue to push forward as we compete in our next two games.” Brynn Masikewich paced Canada with 17 on 7-12 from the floor, 0-1 from the arc, 3-4 from the line, 6 boards, 2 assists and 4 steals.         Canada improved to 2-0 by dusting the Dominican Republic 89-48 after leading 21-11, 48-19 and 68-30 at the quarters.  “We came through some adversity, then started to calm down and play the game that we normally play. Going into the next game, we can definitely do what’s in our control and just play the game that we play,” said Brynn Masikewich. Coach Jodi Gramm said “we’re happy with the result, but as a team that’s driven by process, we turned the ball over too many times and gave up too many points. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to improve on both of those things against Argentina tomorrow.” Brynn Masikewich paced Canada with 22 on 11-15 from the floor, 10 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.         Canada closed out pool play undefeated after nipping Argentina 71-65. Canada led 17-10, 38-26 and 48-42 at the quarters. “It was a great ambience to play in tonight because of Argentina and their fans. It was a tough game, but we managed to be successful because we played together as a team,” said Sarah Te-Biasu. Coach Jodi Gram said “we’re thrilled to get the win over a very disciplined and technically sound Argentina team. We were able to come together and execute our defensive plan, play to our strengths as much as possible, and get to the offensive glass.” Brynn Masikewich paced Canada with 15 on 5-9 from the floor, 0-2 from the arc, 5-7 from the line, 20 boards, 2 assists and 2 blocks.         In the semis, Canada clubbed Colombia 64-38 after leading 18-8, 31-21 and 50-31 at the quarters. “We overcame a slow start and way too many turnovers to get a win in this semi-final game,” said coach Jodi Gram. Aerial Wilson said “throughout the course of the tournament we have been able to come together and focus as a team.” Marissah Russell paced Canada with 11 on 2-3 from the floor, 2-4 from the arc, 1-11 from the line, 8 boards and 2 assists. Yvonne Ejim added 8 on 3-6 from the floor, 2-2 from the line and 5 boards. Aaliyah Edwards scored 7 on 3-10 from the floor, 1-2 from the line, 5 boards and 2 blocks.         In the final, the United States stomped Canada 91-46 after leading 27-21, 50-25 and 68-35 at the quarters.  “No question that the US set the standard today and came out on top, but our staff and players will use this as motivation and look forward to next year where we will fight to win a world championship,” said coach Jodi Graham. Azzi Fudd paced the United States with 18 on 3-6 from the floor, 4-6 from the arc, 2 boards, 3 assists and 5 steals. Zia Cooke added 15 on 4-11 from the floor, 2-2 from the arc, 1-2 from the line, 4 boards and 2 assists. Aliyah Boston notched 15 on 7-10 from the floor, 1-2 from the line and 6 boards.
