Former British Columbia High School Boys Basketball association tournament & executive director Ken Winslade for pulling 17 AA and 40 A high school boys tournament scores out of thin air. In my youth in Alberta, we referred to him as “the demon from out west” for the way he regular mauled the Golden Bears. Truth be told, he seems a very kind and civil soul.
New Brunswick’s Michael Fleming for providing several all-tournament selections from boys and girls provincials between 1988-1992, as well as several rosters for ACAA teams in the early 1990s. He is also responsible for revealing how geographically challenged I am by informing me that St. Stephen High School was not in a suburb of St. John’s but located within a town unto itself. Mea culpa to readers of earlier versions of the New Brunswick file for the miscue.
Quebec’s irrepressible Eddie Pomykala, who’s still celebrating his uSports men’s title at Bishop’s and is now crafting his memoirs, for the rosters of the RSEQ champion Dawson Blues in 1975 and 1976, for which he toiled.
Saskatchewan’s Myles Mintzler for the providing the rosters of the Regina Luther Lions for 1976 and 1977.
Former Acadia manager Paul Seaborn for correcting several dozen spelling mistakes and the provision of a few dozen names for rosters.
