In the semis, the Whitehorse F.H. Collins Warriors defeated the Whitehorse Porter Creek Rams x-x.

In the final, the Whitehorse Vanier Catholic Crusaders smacked the Whitehorse F.H. Collins Warriors 66-46 as Jordan Brown scored 25, including 4 treys. With the Warriors packing the paint in hopes of containing Andrew Craigen and Andre Golding, Brown kept draining perimeter jumpers as the Crusaders took a 38-21 lead at the half. He hit 7 of his first 10 shots. “We showed up and came to compete,” Brown told the Whitehorse Star. “We dominated on the glass and when I did miss, we usually got the rebound. … Luckily for me, my stroke was on. I was just glad to see it happen in a big game.” Craigen finished with 14 and Golding 10, while delivering a tough defensive effort against Warriors Richie Tran and Nam Pham, and Kevin Darling 9. Trailing by 17 at the half, F.H. Collins went on a 14-4 run in the opening 7:20 of the second, to cut Vanier’s lead to 42-35. But Kevin Darling drove for a layup and the Crusaders soon had the margin at 53-39. “That was as good a high school game as you’re going to see,” said Vanier coach Jeff Teasdale. “F.H. Collins has pushed us all year and I knew they would make a run. I didn’t feel comfortable (with the lead) until there was 1:46 left to go. Our program continues to get better every year and I’m just proud to know these guys. … Jordan works harder than anyone else on our team. He has a true love for the game of basketball and has become a very efficient shooter who can hit from anywhere under pressure.” Pham led the Warriors with 13. Kevin Morrison added 7, Mitch Leslie 7, Kris Lau 6, Gordon Ruby 6 and Peter Semkpiel 4. “(The Crusaders) just beat us, plain and simple,” Warriors’ coach Logan Wedge said. “They were the better team (Saturday). They were smarter with the ball and rarely turned it over. We seemed to play well in spurts, but we couldn’t play well for more than seven minutes at a time. … Perhaps we were a little tired. When that happens, you’re not as sharp and a lot of our shots just didn’t fall. We were happy we were able to shut Craigen and Golding down, but J.B. (Jordan Brown) stepped up for them today. You either live or die on a decision such as the one we made, and (Saturday), we died.”
