After losing in the final in 2000, the Cyclones were determined to go out with “guns blazing.” Coach Ryan Boughen told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix that “last year we could have won if we had shown more heart and character. This year, we showed all the heart we needed.” Central jumped out to a 17-1 lead and built on the advantage the rest of the game.
