Owen Pickett paced the Spartans with 15. Eric Hart added 13, Kelly Holtby 7, Jason Danyluk 4, Todd Calihoo 4, Doug Smith 4, Dustin Treptow 1 and Josh Safronetz 1.
In the other semi, the Caronport Cougars clipped the Melfort Comets 66-58 as Bradley Moffatt scored 22, Tim Penner 12, Jordan Shakotko 12, Everett Duerksen 12, Shane Johnson 6, Danny Rozicka 1 and Jason Forbes 1. Jason Koenders paced the Comets with 18. Jeff Prete added 14, Devin Wagner 10, Mark Heichler 8, Corey Wright 4, Brenden Gosselin 2 and Mike Davis 2.
In the bronze medal match, the Melfort Comets dispatched the Meadow Lake Carpenter Spartans 58-51 as Jason Koenders scored 15, Jeff Prete 14, Mark Heichler 8, Brian Misskey 6, Corey Wright 5, Devin Wagner 4, Brad Fuller 2, Brenden Gosselin 2 and Mike Davis 2. In the final, the Caronport Cougars stomped the Lloydminster Holy Rosary Raiders 62-58 as Everett Duerksen scored 25, Bradley Moffatt 13, Shane Johnson 12, Tim Penner 5, Danny Ruzicka 3, Jordan Shakotko 2 and Nelson Duerksen 2. Kim Lendvay paced the Raiders with 23. Cory Gratton added 14, Geoff Bostick 9, Anthony Tassie 5, Mike Knisely 4, Jarvis Weinkauf 2 and Rob Woods 1. The Cougars led 53-39 with five minutes to play but the Raiders rallied to within 59-58 with 10 seconds to play. But the Cougars iced it at the line. Duerksen told the Regina Leader-Post “we let up for just a bit and that may have been why they came back.”
