        In the quarterfinals, the Moose Jaw A.E. Peacock Toilers dusted the Prince Albert St. Mary Marauders 69-46. The Toilers out-scored St. Mary 29-11 in the second quarter. They led 12-9 after the first quarter and only out-scored St. Mary by two points in the second half. “You come up with the win and that’s obviously the most important thing,” said Peacock coach Renee Verge. “Certainly, we weren’t as sharp was we wanted to be. Everything was a little bit off. Our passing was a little off. Our defence struggled a bit. But you have to focus on the positives — we got the win, we’re going to Hoopla and there’s a whole pile of teams that would trade us spots.” Libby Epoch paced the Toilers with 27. Macaela Crone added 15. Meghan McFee led the Marauders with 13 points. The Marauders also included Jada Oftedal.

        The Lumsden Angels crushed the Swift Current Ardens 69-31.         In the last quarterfinal, the Warman Wolverines whipped the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders 71-50. “We were a brand-new crew but we really gelled together,” Wolverines coach Betty Bird told the Clark’s Crossing Gazette. “We had only four girls return from last year, but we had amazing talent. That was our goal this year; to get to Hoopla.” The Wolverines led 17-15 after one quarter and 39-36 at the half. Chelsea Misskey paced the Wolverines with 26. The Crusaders included Emma Manson.

        In the semis, the Moose Jaw A.E. Peacock Toilers clubbed the Lumsden Angels 65-42. “We’re where we want to be,” Peacock coach Renee Verge told the Moose Jaw Times-Herald. “There’s been one thought this season and we really feel like there’s some unfinished business. We put ourselves in a position to see if we can change that outcome from last year (a loss in the final).” The Toilers took command as Macaela Crone blocked two shots and Caitlin Kitts a third during an early 16-2 run. “Our goal all year has been to be a defensive team. We have enough offensive weapons individually that we knew we could put up numbers offensively, but we really focus on defence,” said Kitts who scored 18. The Toilers led 35-13 at the half. Crone added 18 and Libby Epoch 16. Dayna Pearce led the Angels with 17.

        In the other semi, Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds outclassed the Warman Wolverines 98-72.

        In the bronze medal match, the Lumsden Angels nipped the Warman Wolverines 62-59.
