        The Moose Jaw Central Cyclones stomped the Fort Qu’Appelle Bert Fox Lakers 59-41. Moose Jaw Central led 29-18 at the half. The Lakers included Brittany March, Kelsey Macknak.

        The Meadow Lake Carpenter Spartans clipped the Martensville Royals 75-44 as Shyla Pickett scored 24. Stacey Medwid and Amy Ingram each notched 13 for Martensville.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Melfort Comets edged the Regina F.W. Johnson Wildcats 66-64 in double overtime as Lindsay Copeland scored 21, Janel Bortis 14 and Amanda Bednarz 14. Melissa Bubley led Regina Johnson with 15. LaShawn Wahpooseyan added 14. The Wildcats led 29-21 at the half and 43-36 after three quarters. But Melfort rallied to knot the score at 54 in regulation play. The Wildcats (coached by Mandy Gullickson) also included Kayla Cassano, Katie Perras, Kayla Simonson.

        In the semis, the Weyburn Eagles walloped the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones 66-45 as Britt Pegg scored 23, Melissa Peterson 14 and Sheena Tessier 13. Michelle Stapleton paced Moose Jaw Central with 15. Rhaea Fowler added 12. Weyburn led 26-24 at the half.

        In the other semi, the Meadow Lake Carpenter Spartans defeated the Melfort Comets 60-44 as Shyla Pickett scored 17 and Marcy Dyck 14. Lindsay Copeland led Melfort with 21. Kacy-Jae Slobodzian added 10. Meadow Lake led 36-15 at the half.

        In the bronze medal match, Melfort dumped Moose Jaw Central 62-51 as Lindsay Copeland scored 28, Brenna Hirsch 15 and Kacy-Jae Slobodzian 9. Brandee Heron paced Moose Jaw Central with 15. Michelle Stapleton added 9 and Rhaea Fowler 9. Moose Jaw Central led 24-22 at the half. Central also included Ashley Wilk.

        In the final, the Weyburn Eagles won their first provincial title since 1993 by stomping the Meadow Lake Carpenter Spartans 68-51 as Karly Johnson scored 17 and Milessa Peterson 15. Shyla Pickett led Meadow Lake with 15 and Marcy Dyck added 12. “It’s an exceptional group,” coach Wanda Pegg told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. “They believed they could do this.”
