In the provincial quarterfinals and Regina finals, the Miller Maruaders crushed the Usher Unicorns 62-47 as Trena Mott scored 30 and Stacey Schuba 12. Tanya Winkel paced the Unicorns with 13. The Unicorns (coached by Paula Miller) also included Pam Shing, Shannon Kotylak.

        The Yorkton Regional Raiders defeated the Estevan Elecs x-x.

        The Swift Current Ardens dispatched the Moose Jaw A.E. Peacock Toilers x-x.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders defeated the North Battleford Comprehensive Vikings x-x.

        In the provincial semis, the Swift Current Ardens clipped the Regina Miller Marauders 57-46 as Kim Perree scored 20 and Melanie Thomas 13. Trena Mott led Marauders with 17. Janel Romashenko added 8.

        In the other semi, the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders whipped the Yorkton Regional Raiders 70-51 as Tara Neefs scored 22, Tania Bell 10 and Cheralyn Thorsen 10. Sherri Somerville and Renae Lischynski each scored 9 to pace the Raiders.

        In the bronze medal match, the Regina Miller Marauders clocked the Yorkton Regional Raiders 63-46 as Treena Mott scored 37 and Kim Numann 11. Renae Lischynski led the Raiders with 11. Leva Dilts added 10. The Raiders also included Sherri Somerville.

In the final, the Swift Current Ardens defeated Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders 66-54 as Kim Perree scored 17, Shelly Knakoske 16 and Sandra Bishop 16. Tara Neefs paced the Crusaders with 14. Kristi Armstrong added 12. Ardens coach Lori Granger told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix that “it was really, really tough. Five of our 11 kids are rookies. They’ve never seen anything like this and man, did they do a job. We just tried to stay together as a team, get all five players involved, and work our butts off. That’s what keeps us coming back year after year.”
