In the provincial final, the Regina Thom Trojans edged the Saskatoon Nutana Collegiate Blues 43-40 as Bev Todd scored 18. Sharon Klotz added 8 and Diane Graham 6 (according to the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. The Regina Leader-Post as Klotz scoring 12, Todd 11 and Myra Kellendonk 7). Karen Taylor and Donna Hunter led Nutana with 9 points apiece. Twins Lynn and Leah Skolrood each added 6. (The Regina Leader-Post had Hunter scoring 11, Taylor 10 and Leah Skoolrood 7). Nutana led 13-8 in the second quarter and 22-20 at the half. But 7:40 into the final half, Todd hit a field goal to turn the tide. She tied the game with another bucket with five minutes to go. Then Tracy Hennie put Thom ahead 38-36 with a field goal. Todd hit a free throw and Myra Kellendonk hit a bucket with three minutes to go to put the game out of reach.
