        In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Weyburn Eagles edged the 6th-seeded Moose Jaw Vanier Vikings 81-77. “The lads had a solid weekend on defense,” coach Lars Guenther told the Weyburn Review. “I was happy with the number of quality scoring opportunities as well, but I would like us to finish a bit more consistently, specifically inside the paint and on free throws. We will need to make the most of our scoring opportunities when we face the provincial number two seeded Notre Dame Hounds on Friday. I know the Eagles are very motivated to reach the final again and repeat as 4A Provincial Champions.” The Vikings included Javan Panko, Nathan Meili, Kyle Gotana, Riley Follensbee.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Moose Jaw Central Cyclones clocked the North Battleford John Paul II Crusaders 88-62 as Riley Seaborn scored 15. Andrew Pyle led the Crusaders with 16.

        In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Weyburn Eagles defeated the 2nd-seeded Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds 84-78 as Blake Anderson scored 23. Ronald Nyekowat led the Hounds with 20.

        In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds spanked the North Battleford John Paul II Crusaders 68-47 after leading 31-21 at the half. Ron Nyekowat led the Hounds with 20. C.J. Gozum paced the Crusaders with 11. The Crusaders (coached by Shalen Fox) also included Andrew Pyle.

        In the final, the top-seeded Moose Jaw Central Cyclones torched the 3rd-seeded Weyburn Eagles 98-59 after leading 47-31 at the half. Jaxson Brownell paced the Cyclones with 20. Kyle Boughen added 12. Owen Hiltz led the Eagles with 19. “This feels unreal, I can’t even describe this feeling, this is probably one of the best things that I’ve ever felt in my life,” Cyclone Ethan Johnson told Discover Moose Jaw. Riley Seaborn said after winning two consecutive silvers, gold was “awesome, it’s so nice, it’s such a relief to win the game.” Kyle Boughen said “a lot of us started playing together in grade two, most of us have been together since at least grade nine, I go to school every day with these kids, these are my brothers, nothing better, honestly, this is the best group of people to win it with.” Crozier Holmes said “we knew what happened the last couple of years, they got up on us quick, so we knew that we had to bring it just as the game started and we did that.” Jaxson Brownell said “every one was talking, ‘hands up’ and that’s what got it done for us, our defence led into everything. We finally did it, we finally got it done and for all the grade 12s to be on the floor together

, it was the best feeling the world.” The Cyclones led 23-17, 47-31 and 71-50 at the quarters. Cyclones coach Ryan Boughen said “this group of kids, it’s just a matter of where do we want to go and at what time. They’re very unselfish, we did that and worked well for us, and the way we played team defence, is what it’s all about for us, we made team stops together. … We’re just so happy for these kids, they’ve worked so hard, it’s just awesome.” The Cyclones finished (29-5) on the campaign.
