We’ve worked a long time for this and these kids deserve to win. They’ve gotten along better than any team I’ve coached. They got along just great and displayed a real team effort, both on and off the court, and this team has put it all together tonight and we have the provincial championship to prove it. … I wasn’t surprised at City Park. I expected them to play us man-to-man but they played zone, so we re-organized ourselves and came through without much difficulty. I feel that we undoubtedly had the better team out there and this probably due to the unfortunate fact that there just isn’t any kind of competition in Saskatoon.”
