Roy Verity led the Toilers with 15. …………………………………………………… In the other semi, the Regina Campion Maroons knocked off the previously undefeated regular season city champ Sheldon-Williams Spartans 43-42 in overtime as Ray Manz hit the winning free throw with seconds to play. Dave Pickett led the Maroons with 18. Don Stamp scored 9 for the Spartans. The Spartans also included Doug Forsythe, Ken Traynor, Paul Jacoby, Rick Axtell. …………………………………………………… In the final, the Regina Luther Lions handled the Regina Campion Maroons 47-41 in overtime as Miles Forsberg scored 16, Merv Prier 14, Bruce Duncan 7, Bill Domres 7, Rob Pyne 2 and Gerry Harris 1. Campion tied the game at 30 with a minute to play. Luther led 37-35 and was attempting to freeze the ball but Ray Manz pilfered it from Bruce Duncan and raced for an uncontested layup with 12 seconds to play to force overtime. Luther had led 12-6 after one quarter and 24-16 at the half. The Lions outscored the Maroons 10-4 in overtime with Bill Domres notching the winner. Dave Pickett paced the Maroons with 16. Zolton Vertes added 10, Glen Weisgerber 8, Schaeffer 5 and Roy Manz 2, while Lidster, Phelan, Bauman, Schwartz, Dobie and Fitzgerald were scoreless. Starter Tom Morrissey did not play because of a broken ankle.

        In the north semis, the Saskatoon Walter Murray Marauders edged the Saskatoon Aden Bowman Bears 55-53. The Marauders led 15-13 after one quarter. The Bears led 33-25 at the half and 39-38 after three quarters. Don McIntosh paced the Marauders with 23. Doug Tastad added 11. Terry Miller paced the Bears with 25. Howard Trustcott added 9.         In the provincial final, the Regina Luther Lions defeated the Saskatoon Walter Murray Marauders 63-52 despite trailing 37-30 at the half. Luther rallied back to tie the game at 46 at the three-quarter mark and after Russ Williams and Rod Vinnish fouled out for Walter Murray, Luther took control in the final quarter. Miles Forsberg led Luther with 14, while Rob Pyne added 12, Bruce Duncan 11 and Bill Domres and Merv Prier each hit 10. Don McIntosh paced Walter Murray with 16. Russ Williams added 13 and Doug Tastend 10.
