St. Paul’s cut it to three with four minutes to go but Ralph Schoenfeld, returning to the line-up after an injury which kept him out of the latter half of the regular season, hit two free throws and a field goal to ice it. Lynn Peters led Bowman with 13. Schoenfeld added 9, John Stuart 7, Bruce Mcmillan 19, Radis Paas 4, Ron Shishkin 4 and Mike Donnally 4. Jerry Quinn led St. Paul’s with 13. Sheldon-Williams led 5-4 at the quarter, 16-15 at the half. The teams were tied at 26 at the three-quarter mark. Charlie Vertes paced the Maroons with 10. Pat Reed added 4 and Paul Kouri 4. The Maroons also cinlcuded Neil McNeill.

        In the provincial final, Ralph Schoenfeld scored 15, including 7-8 from the line and delivered a host of great assists as the Saskatoon Aden Bowman Bears defeated the Regina Sheldon-Williams Spartans 49-35. Aden Bowman was ahead 10-2 at the quarter despite a stiff Sheldon-Williams zone. They led 20-16 at the half and 29-25 at the three-quarter mark. McMillan hit a field goal, Schoenfeld three free throws, a field goal and a pass to Mike Donnally, who hit a bucket, giving Aden Bowman the win. Donnally paced the Bears with 10. Lynn Peters added 9, Ron Shishkin 8, Radis Paas 4 and Bruce McMillan 3. Neil Dillabaugh led Sheldon-Williams with 15 before fouling out with four minutes to play. He scored 10 in the first half but Shishkin shut him down in the second half. Stan Metcalfe added 9, Bob Westerman 6 and Mal Graham 2. Aden Bowman shot 15-20 from the line, while Sheldon-Williams hit 9-20.
